NASA ‘DOES THE MATH’ AND INTRODUCES 13TH ZODIAC SIGN

August 19, 2017 – Waking Times

Christina Sarich, Staff Writer – Waking Times

NASA says they’ve done the math, and they’ve recently introduced a new zodiac sign. They’ve thrown ages-old astrology charts totally out of whack with the announcement of Ophiuchus. What used to be utilized by die-hard astrology enthusiasts to plot and plan their lives could now be thought of as heresy.

If ever the New Age advice to “check the stars” before taking action, were counterbalanced with scientific reason, which supposes heavenly bodies have no impact on our lives whatsoever, we’d see we are at odds – these seemingly disparate entities have now entered a new territory of antipathy, or have they?

NASA says they didn’t change any astrological signs. They “just did the math,” and found that there is an additional zodiac sign between Sagittarius and Scorpio, called the “serpent bearer,” because it appears in the middle of the Serpens constellation.

It’s interesting to note that Ophiuchus — located near the celestial equator and one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd-century astronomer Ptolemy — is just one of thousands of possible constellations that could have been “added” to our astrological influences, however, the sign, which wasn’t previously added because the sun barely touches it through its movement in space, is named after a Greek God that handles serpents.

This isn’t exactly new-found knowledge that NASA is divulging either, since the constellation was found more than 3,0000 years ago. So why has NASA chosen to upset astrology charts now with a serpent-bearing addition to the 12 signs?

To find an answer we can look at the mythology behind the sign.

Ophiuchus represented the god Apollo to the Greeks. He “handled” the snake that guarded the Oracle of Delphi at her temple. The Oracle of Delphi was the prophetic priestess Pythia, known for her ESP powers.

Apollo wasn’t too shabby in his own right. He was quite complex and powerful as the son of Zeus, and Titan Leto. He also had powers of divination and moved the sun across the sky every day. So, why was a guy who did these Godly feats removed from our 12-sign astrological charts? Especially considering they are based primarily on the movement of the earth juxtaposed against heavenly bodies and the sun?

There’s the odd fact that the ancient Babylonians created the 12 signs of the zodiac to match their 12-month lunar calendar, but the answer may also lay in Apollo’s relationship to the Oracle. (As an aside, the Babylonians are also credited with creating usury, or the injurious use of interest to enslave people.)

The oracle at Delphi is shrouded in mystery to this day. She spoke for the god Apollo and answered questions for the Greeks about foreign relations, colonization, religion, and power. More notably, the oracle existed long before Apollo found her.

As the story goes, Apollo also “conquered” the oracle’s temple – only two of which are in recorded history, even though myth has it there were at least five temples of the oracle. The Earth mother kept her holy serpent at Delphi. Apollo killed the serpent and then tried to keep the oracle’s powers for himself. This is why Delphi is also known as Pythia – in honor of the killing of the snake.

According to Yahoo News, the new 13-sign calendar plays out like this:

Capricorn: January 20-February 16
Aquarius: February 16-March 11
Pisces: March 11-April 18
Aries: April 18-May 13
Taurus: May 13-June 21
Gemini: June 21-July 20
Cancer: July 20-August 10
Leo: August 10-September 16
Virgo: September 16-October 30
Libra: October 30-November 23
Scorpio: November 23-November 29
Ophiuchus: November 29-December 17
Sagittarius: December 17-January 20

So, is NASA’s “math” accurate, or are we to dismiss the contemporary zodiac? Does the zodiac affect us at all, anyhow?

What affects us may not be so much the calculations and alignment of the heavenly bodies, but what we’ve accepted as our own myth – what Joseph Campbell would term our “call to duty,” or rites of passage.

These myths – insinuated by powerful forces and carried in our own psyches for millennia – outline deep archetypal emotions and hardships we all must face to become spiritually realized.

In an interview with Bill Moyers, Campbell responds to the reference:

“Genesis 1: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep.”

Campbell says,

“This is the song of the world, from a legend of the Pima Indians: “In the beginning there was only darkness everywhere, darkness and water. And the darkness gathered thick in places, crowding together and then separating, crowding and separating.”

Moyers retorts,

“And the spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters, and God said, ‘Let there be light.’”

Campbell responds,

“This is from the Hindu Upanishad: “In the beginning there was only the great self, reflected in the form of a person. Reflecting, it found nothing but itself, and its first word was, ‘This am I.’”
We could carry out these creation stories into every known culture that ever existed in this world – and likely others, however, the heaven’s and the earth reflect what is within us. Is astrology a science, pseudoscience, or an art?

Is NASA’s addition of a 13th zodiac of any consequence? The more important question may be what is NASA trying to communicate to the collective consciousness. What mythology is being offered for us to confirm or deny?

To quote from Campbell once more,

“These bits of information from ancient times, which have to do with the themes that have supported man’s life, built civilizations, informed religions over the millennia, have to do with deep inner problems, inner mysteries, inner thresholds of passage and if you don’t know what the guide signs are along the way, you have to work it out yourself.”

Sagittarius Energy Rising ~ Spiritual Seekers, Your Time is Now

By Sophie Gregoire, 12/14/2016

Dear Warriors & Wild Ones:

The Sagittarius energy has just clicked in the sky, and as the year comes to completion, it’s playing its last notes. The end of the tunnel is coming, and I can tell you, it’s full of light.

During December, energy will start to lift us up right before we take important leaps for more joy in 2017.

Our time has come, and more than ever, our liberation will be found by living in the now, following our intuition, and doing what we feel drawn to at any time.

Excitement is in the air! This is the call of the Sagittarius energy — wise but bold, fun but spiritual, profoundly optimist and sunny. Can you feel it?

Now that the heavy work is almost done, we can both dream again of the new life we’ve been longing for so long, and stop justifying ourselves to the ones that haven’t understood.

Or if we need to, we’ll use these words: no more shame, Warriors, this is our time.

Why have we been changing? Why have we felt lost or unsettled at times?

It’s because we’re on the Spiritual path — we’ve decided that our life would be a quest for the extraordinary, a wild race in the name of joy, a marathon for the conquest of truth.

It all started when we awakened and decided to step away from the stories that had been written by other people — but yet felt imposed on us.

We could sense that our truth was different, that life had too many colours to only be that — so we decided that we would fight for it, no matter what.

We chose to not settle for less than the extraordinary. We want butterflies and goosebumps — what truly feels right, and what really set ourselves on fire. The unique sacred lover, the most real connection — body, heart, and soul.

We wanted more in this life than what most accept, without even questioning, what they agreed to be part of, even if they or others got hurt.

We had decided that we would either take it or move out, we would either feel truly aligned or quit. And we gave up complaining about situations we were doing nothing to change, including ourselves. Above all we wanted something bigger, the dismantling of the fake and all the lies. We wanted meaning. We craved for purpose.

So we’ve taken a leap and took the road less traveled — the road back to ourselves.

But that’s where it all started, actually. When we entered the winding road of enlightenment, we started to change our minds often and to experience anything that we felt drawn to, projects, places, and identities.

Why? Because this is how we discover if it’s right.

“We must have adventures in order to know where we truly belong.”
~Unknown

The soul’s growth and expansion unfolds by discovering things and activities that we feel drawn to, which happens by experiencing in order to see how these feel when we actually do them. This is how we decide what feels right or wrong, what should stay on board and what shouldn’t.

We were never truly interested in finding the right thing or the right solution, but the path of discovery itself.

Wild Ones, we’re about to be rewarded for the work, the efforts and our commitment to the truth. The path has sometimes been rough, but I can tell you that everything has happened as it should.

Every adventure, even the ones that ended up to be painful, wrong or inadequate — were important and irreplaceable parts of the process. We needed all of what happened to get where we’re now. Each stone, each brick of our own foundation, each digression on the way was both inevitable and necessary. All of our steps were meant to be and have led us exactly where we were meant to go.

We’ve been wanderers of ideas, of countries, smiles and oceans — but if we look back on these last months and years, the truth is there is nothing to regret.

This is the gift of spiritual seekers. We always do what we feel and pursue the desires of our wild hearts — that’s why it’s impossible to take the “wrong” way.

But to explore, we’ve needed the right conditions. It will be the same now. So, how do we move forward? We need to feel free enough to live in the now.

“Traveler, there is no path. The path must be forged as you walk.”
~Antonio Machado

We find true joy when we know that we’re free to do anything that we feel guided or compelled to do, in every instant.

We unveil our true essence by living in the now. That’s how we get closer to who we truly are. If in every moment we do what our hearts want, we can’t end up in the wrong place. We can’t see what’s ahead, but the words and energy that constantly rise from within and guide our steps simply can’t lead us astray.

We rise by living in the flow because it’s incredibly intelligent — it knows how to take us to the best experiences, situations and heart’s matches at any given time. We grow by allowing the voice within to speak, by following and implementing what it says.

We thrive in the void, in the absence of schedule. We find ourselves when we’re free from the heaviness of commitments when we feel allowed to move in whatever direction we feel drawn to — when anything could happen.

Our joy is found by surrendering.

We were never meant to plan so much, forecast, control or decide, in advance, what our lives should be or who we wanted to become — we simply become by living, brush stroke, after brush stroke.

How old are we? A million years at least! We’re old souls.

Who are we, if someone asks? We’re spiritual seekers. This is our identity, Warriors! We’re gold diggers, masters of inner work and independent creators of our own templates. This is who we are, and this is how we move forward. Go ahead, Wild Hearts, this is our time!

We now have such a beautiful, dynamic and supportive energy surrounding us — we’re getting closer to the perfect time to take action, and build the life we’ve been waiting for.

All the past and present work is about to be rewarded, I can feel it.

OPHIUCHUS UPDATE

``OphiuchusElement: Ether
Principle: Feminine
Colours: Purple, Silver & black

As requested I am now submitting Ophiuchus Updates, these are based on Ophiuchus’s Vibration and what Planets/Points are connecting with her and what they represent. These updates are also based on what guidance she is giving to us, to help us deal with, or make the most of, when it comes to the transiting planetary vibrations. Since she governs all the other star signs, it is only fair that we allow her to speak as her essence is vital to our psychological well being as well as our health and our children’s future.

Morbid fears, anxiety, and negative psychic influences are bombarding our Earth, the vibes are harsh and many of us will be picking up on these vibrations unconsciously and spreading them around like wild fire. This vibration hitting the Earth affects our psychological well being and it is a must that we turn these negative energies into positivity through meditation, faith and prayer.

We must not isolate ourselves or be fearful of the future, we must live in the present and deal with the present only. Although the planets are taking us back to the past, we must not live there! But look at it, analyse it, bless it love and move on. The only way we can do this is by working towards reaching a higher state of consciousness and Ophiuchus is here to show us the way. Over sensitivity and a lack of inspiration is designed to hold us back from reaching a lighter state of consciousness, as its aim is to keep us wallowing in this oppressive energy that surrounds us like a deep thick fog, it needs us to reside there, so that it can feed and grow stronger and more powerful.

We must not rely too much on luck and faith, but put in the effort by working on our core strength, we can do this by meditating on our solar plexus to strengthen our main Chakra Point, which is our Gut. Hence the sayings, gut instinct, gut reaction and feeling gutted.

Ophiuchus understands how it feels to lack joy in life, she also understands how it feels to receive the backlash of other people’s fears and insecurities and how important it is to stand strong in a time of bleak reality. None of us are untouchable, and Ophiuchus is an important example because these very issues cost her, her pride, her dignity and her faith in humanity. Let us repay her by heeding her advice, because regardless of all that she has suffered at the hands of man, she is still faithful and loyal to her cause.
